Paper, spreadsheet, or something that fills itself in
A printed reading log is lovely on a desk and terrible at arithmetic. A spreadsheet does the arithmetic but will never scan a barcode, time a session, or remind you what you were reading in March. Endleaf is the third option: a digital reading log that keeps itself, on your iPhone, with no account and no ads.
- Start on paper, move later. Type your sheet into the CSV template, then import the whole file into Endleaf. Your dates and ratings come with it.
- Ratings in half stars. Five boxes on paper cannot hold a 4.5. The app can, down to a quarter star.
- The math is done for you. Pages, hours, reading speed, streaks, and a year in books, built as you read.
Printable reading log questions
How do I print this reading log?
Set up the sheet below, then press Print or save as PDF. Your browser opens its print dialog with only the log on the page, so no navigation or buttons come along. To keep a digital copy instead of paper, choose Save as PDF as the destination.
Is the printable reading log free?
Yes, and there is no email wall. The sheet is drawn in your browser, nothing is uploaded, and you can print as many copies as you like. The CSV template is free too.
What should a reading log template include?
At minimum the title, the author, and the date you finished. Most readers also want a rating and a page count, because those are what turn a list into stats at the end of the year. School and kids logs usually swap the rating for minutes read and a place for a parent to initial.
Can I use this as a kids reading log?
Yes. Choose the Kids template and it switches to the classic school layout: date, title, minutes read, pages, and a column for a grown-up to initial. Print one per week or per month.
Letter or A4?
Both. Pick whichever your printer uses and the sheet resizes its margins to match, so nothing gets clipped at the edge.
Can I import the filled-in template into an app later?
That is what the CSV template is for. Its columns match the file Endleaf reads, so you can keep it in any spreadsheet, then import the whole thing into Endleaf in one go when you want the stats without the typing.
Print one, or never print again.
Endleaf logs every book, date, and rating for you. Free to download, private by design.
No account. No ads. Your data stays on your phone.
